Starting this week, Petunia Chimney Co is clarifying what ‘licensed & insured’ truly means for Woburn homeowners hiring a chimney sweep. We’re sharing the exact checks you should run, and how our credentials stack up.
Why Woburn homeowners should double-check ‘licensed & insured’ before booking
In Woburn, not all ‘licensed’ chimney sweeps are equal. Some carry state-level credentials, others only local permits. We hold a Massachusetts CSL (Construction Supervisor License) and carry $2M liability insurance, verified annually. Before you book, ask for proof: a valid CSL number and a certificate of insurance naming your property. If they can’t provide it, walk away. blog/how-to-choose-licensed-chimney-sweep-woburn-avoid-scams. Learn more about our full list of services.
How Petunia Chimney Co meets, and exceeds: Woburn’s safety standards
We go beyond the minimum: every technician completes CSIA-certified training and background checks. Our trucks carry OSHA-compliant gear, and we provide a free copy of your CSL and insurance before service begins. Need proof before booking?
